Fundamentals Plus (FP) is the baseball resource which connects its audience to top baseball professionals. Our FP team includes players (active and retired), scouts and instructors who have been recognized and employed by MLB for outstanding abilities, information and professionalism in their areas of expertise. To ensure that the information and services meet the highest standard in quality, reliability and accuracy, FP formed a collaborative effort with baseball professionals in which we share our time and talents to provide this wealth of baseball information. Now our accomplished team is easily accessible to players, coaches and enthusiasts alike, all from one source. Our team shares one passion – Baseball. We also share one vision – to encourage player development and enhance the baseball experience.




In all my years as a player in Little League up through the Major Leagues, there has been one constant – information. There are books, videos, coaches, private instructors, clinics, etc. some great and, unfortunately, some not so great. Navigating this sea of information and misinformation can be a daunting task. Countless times I’ve heard players at the end of their careers lament over a too-late discovery, “I wish I had known that earlier.” This site was created to make excellent information easily accessible so you don’t ever have to say those words.




Fundamentals never lose their value. No matter how far you travel away from Little League, you cannot distance yourself from the importance of fundamentals. It is the foundation upon which all additional skills and techniques are based. It is what elite players reinforce on a regular basis. It is the first place everyone returns, Major Leaguers included, when things go wrong. Therefore, it seems essential to me that we begin our site here.




I believe that the best starting point, as with most things, is at the foundation. Thus, the name Fundamentals. Why the plus in FP? While the fundamentals are critical, there is more. All the skills and nuances which are built upon this foundation, along with the other services offered by this site, constitutes the Plus.

September 3 Fundamentals Plus is proud to welcome the addition of Willie Upshaw. Willie has amassed lifelong achievements in baseball, first as an MLB player and later as an MLB hitting
instructor. Willie has worked with countless MLB All-Stars and now, through Fundamentals Plus, this opportunity is available to you.


Baseball stars across the country are stepping up to support a new children’s book, A Glove of Their Own. The book aims to teach children the value of sharing what you have with those in need. And WBO/World Baseball Outreach is proud to be one of the charities that will benefit from sales of the
book.

Bob Salomon, the head of the movement promoting this book said “As a little league coach and proud father of two, I am fortunate enough to be passionate about the “pay it forward” or “give it back” mindset that has slowly been catching on throughout corporate America. A Glove of Their Own is a children’s picture book that personifies this mentality. It utilizes baseball, and an underprivileged group of children's childhood experience. Their love of the game is not defined by the equipment they don’t have but rather the passion and dreams that they do have.”

The book was inspired by a birthday party held for one of the writers, Debbie Moldovan’s, children. In place of gifts, guests were asked to donate baseball equipment for children who normally do without.
A Glove of Their Own has caught the attention of big-hearted baseball players including Tommy John,
Robb Quinlan, Ken Griffey,Jack Hannahan, Sean Casey, Craig Biggio,and Jason Grilli.Over sixty non-profits also support this book and movement,incld.Yogi Berra Museum&Learning Center,Bommer Esiason Foundation,USA Care,Roberto Clemente Kids,and WBO/World Baseball Outreach, to name a few.
